| Bug Poems Class 5 enjoyed reading Gina Douthwaite's books of shape poems. before writing their own. They tried to keep a regular rhythm and rhyme in couplets. |

| Romans and Celts Class 3 have been studying the Celts and the Romans. They had a Roman soldier come and drill them for a day and turn them into a tough fighting machine! |

Super Dooper Music Looper Children have been composing their own music using a program called 'Super Dooper Music Looper'. They select 'loops' of different instruments such as drums, guitars, brass, woodwind and keyboard, special effects and voices and they mix them together to make a piece of music. more... |
| Class 4 residential Children from Class 4 have been staying at the Start Bay Centre, Slapton. For many it was their first experience of being away from home. |

| The London Blitz Year 6 made up a dance and wrote a poem in a day! It was about the Blitz in London during the second world war. The dance and poem told the story of an air raid. |

| World War Two day Year 6 had an 'evacuee day' when children came to school dressed as evacuees from world war two. |

| An Out-Of-This-World Christmas Years 4, 5 and 6 performed the Christmas musical called 'An Out-Of-This-World Christmas'. Class four were stars, robots and nativity, class five were aliens and class six were mechanics, mission controllers and astronauts. |

| The Camel's Arms Classes 1, 2 and 3 performed the Christmas musical 'The Camel's Arms'.They sang like a choir of angels (not surprising really, as many were angels!). The children spoke up well and had brilliant costumes.The new colourful lights added to the atmosphere and the back cloths were brilliant. Everybody agreed that it was a wonderful show. |

| Totnes artwork Year 6 children spent an afternoon in Totnes sketching the river and buildings. Back at school, they produced watercolours of the boats on the river and clay work to represent the buildings. |

| Totnes study days Class 6 have spent two days in Totnes. First they had a history day, visiting Totnes Castle, the Elizabethan Museum and the Guildhall. |

| 1066 The Battle of Hastings As part of their Totnes history project, Class 6 performed the children's musical 1066 The Battle of Hastings. |

| Book Fair 2008 The children had a book day and they came dressed as their favourite book characters. |

| Children In Need 2008 For Children in Need we had a pyjama day where children came to school in their pyjamas and slippers. Each person brought in £1 and we raised over £200 for children who are less fortunate than us. |

| Halloween Disco Much fun was had at the Halloween disco. There was a selection of witches and wizards, ghosts and ghouls, cats and rats. We played lots of games with a Holloween slant. It ended at 9.00 pm, but luckily it was a Friday, so we had the weekend to recover! |
